HJJCC invites its members, their friends and families to participate in the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii’s New Year’s ‘Ohana Festival 2012. For the second year in a row, the HJJCC will have their own food booth at the festival to help fundraise for upcoming HJJCC events. Volunteers will help make and sell Kauai-style toasted ‘Flying Saucers’ – a yummy sloppy joe and cheese stuffed between two pieces of toasted bread. Mmm… bet your mouth is already watering and stomach growling!
Several volunteers are needed for three (3) shifts on Sunday, January 8, 2012. The HJJCC Cherry Blossom Court will be there to assist with sales and TV news crews will be on site to promote this fun and active family/community-inspired event. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
